Citrus Iced Tea

This drink is tasty and refreshing, perfect for hot summer days like the ones we've been having recently.

Ingredients:

3 tea bags

2 tbsp of caster sugar

2 tsp of honey

1.5l of boiling water

juice of 1 lemon

juice of 1/2 an orange

1/2 an orange in slices

Method:

  1. Pour the water into a jug and put in the honey, sugar, teabags and lemon and orange juice.

  2. Leave the teabags to brew for about 10 minutes, if you prefer it stronger you may choose to leave it longer. Test how strong it is and if you are happy with it remove the teabags.

  3. Add a few ice cubes and leave the jug in a cool place until it is a bit cooler.

  4. Add the orange slices and more ice then put your jug in the fridge.

  5. When you serve, put some ice cubes in a glass and pour in the iced tea.

This is an absolutely incredible drink for when it is hot. It can cool you down and it tastes delicious but it barely takes any time to make. This is just what you need on a hot day. Some people may think it's easier to just buy iced tea but this recipe is super easy and when it comes to drinking it, you feel more satisfied as you made it yourself.

I have made this recipe how I like it- not too strong or too sweet- but can be changed easily to work well for what you want. You can add more or less honey or sugar, brew the teabags for longer or even add more orange and lemon juice. It really just depends on what you like.

I hope you liked this recipe, if you did why not look around at my other recipes. Thank you for reading.
